future networking, with focus on basic challenges and mathematical tools
for overcoming them. Its aim is to facilitate interaction between
innovation in networking and research on related theoretical ideas and

TIVIT SRA for a Services Program - Planning Workshop, 29.11.2011 in Oulu

Welcome to the third planning workshop of a National program on Services within the TIVIT (Tekes ICT SHOK) framework.
The target of this workshop is to get input for the content of what this program should do and identify key people and projects for preparing and heading the work packages.
I hope that you could join and suggest ideas and projects form your teams to participate in this ecosystem program.
Current themes we are anticipating to include are:

- SME Services, platforms and enablers
-- Services and platform enablers for Environmental/energy management and e.g. Building services.
-- Services and platform enablers for Media and analytics services (automatic text/media analysis and analytics)
-- Services for very small businesses
(café’s, hairdressers, plumbers etc.. allowing basic business services, customer DB’s, direct marketing, online stores, accounting etc.)
- Educational Services, platforms and enablers
--Pedagogically sound learning technologies and platform
--m-&elearning solutions for specific focus groups (girls, teachers, dentists etc.)
--Packaging educational services into exportable products (eg. For developing countries)
- Wellness and health Services, platforms and enablers
--Wellness services and platforms
--Healthcare services and platforms
- Financial Services platforms and enablers
--SMS, operator billing and banking system integration (physical and virtual points of sale support with legacy systems)
--NFC related financial services extensions (physical point of sale opportunities)
